When my boyfriend and I couldn't locate the hotel we had reservations at we decided to give this hotel a try. If you can get past the strip club in the lobby, and the "working girls" that frequent the lobby bar and hotel in general, it's not a bad place. The room was clean and had a good view of downtown Kiev. It is also within walking distance of numerous landmarks and shopping. Unfortunately the room was small, and the bathroom was tiny. Although the room description says a hair dryer is in the bathroom, bring your own. The hair dryer is a soviet era relic and resembles a vacuum cleaner. We were pleasantly surprised by the hotel restaurant, and thought the service was good. All in all a decent, affordable Kiev option, with one caveat- ladies stay close to your man. The working girls and strippers are very aggressive!

Room Tip: Choose a high floor to get the best view.

Good value for your money. Room is clean when you expect it to be + decent roomservice. The room covers all basic needs, and we've had no complaints. The only thing that threw me off was the guard seemingly thinking I was a hooker when leaving the bar with my boyfriend one night.
The reception speaks english, but they never smile at you. They don't seem to know service in this country, but they complete their tasks in a satisfying way. Glad I stayed here for such a cheap price.

There was a nice very outside our window. There was also a daycare if someone had children. There was a very nice outside restaurant/bar. But we had to wave down the server to serve us.
Be prepared in Ukraine for Pop to cost more than draft or vodka.
Not enough plug ins to charge electronics, one had to be charged in bathroom over the sink. The bath tub was so high you needed to high jump to get in. The shower was nice the only hotel I got pressure, but the shower curtain didn't close completely and the water soaked the floors. The air-conditioning barely worked at all. Kiev was in the middle of a heat wave. Wi-Fi was ok, Skype worked but had a hard time uploading pics to Facebook. So there was a hooker bar in the lobby. The starlight bar. I'm guessing its why you need a keycard to use the elevator.
Not a hotel for children.

Hotel staff were very helpful and friendly, the room was clean the A/C was a bit disappointing would only work on middle setting, the carpet was a bit shabby and needs to be replaced! The bed was very comfortable and the linen was chaged daily. The hotel needs to be updated, the hotel is about 15-20 minutes walk from the city centre and only 10 from the station!

Such a pleasant surprise to visit Kiev. A very cosmopolitan and European feeling to it. This hotel is in a good location close to Independence Square. Eastern European hotels are not quite up to our Western standard but it all added to the experience there. Would recommend a visit to this greal city which has the worlds most beautiful women :)

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Not a 3star on the international scale. No one in Ukraine has any concept of customer service or how to accommodate a tourist. It was rare to find someone that speaks English and is willing to help. Restaurant is terrible, no cold drinks are served, my room was filthy upon arrival (hair in the shower and on the floor!) also, as I am of short stature I was placed in a room with a single bed to which I barely fit, and the mattress was extremely uncomfortable. Hotel is tired and needs many upgrades. Will not be travelling back to Kiev and would not recommend this hotel.

A good location, very busy street though and sometimes got too loud. Food was meh.. Our bathroom was disgusting. AC barely works. TV only suitable with a magnifying glass. Wifi signal terrible on the 13th floor. Flinstone style mattress. Reception and business centre was helpful other then that it was very unpleasant. Take my advice DON'T stay here.
