We've stayed at this hotel in September 2012. The property is brand new and though centrally located, is very quiet and has got a relaxing feel to it. The staff is very helpful and friendly, the rooms are comfy & nicely decorated. Reception team performed a very quick check-in/check-out and gave us a detailed briefing about hotel's facilities. The staff speaks good English and is knowledgeable about things to do & see in the city and went out of their way to help us during this stay. The room was cleaned perfectly at all times and the bed was really comfy with 2 different types of pillows. Overall a lovely new hotel in usually overpriced Kiev, well worth the money. We had a great stay, will be back again!

After reading the great reviews this new Holiday Inn has had so far, I was excited to see if it would live up to expectations. It did. From the moment I got out of the taxi, the service was outstanding. The English of the front of house staff is excellent and, unlike my previous experience in Kiev of cool and somewhat haughty professionalism, staff seemed genuinely warm and enthusiastic. Now, of course it could be because everything is so new and they are very motivated, but it's such a breath of fresh air that I sincerely hope they hang on to that enthusiasm. It is infectious.

The hotel itself is brand new and so looks fantastic. Even my standard room looked and felt luxurious. No, there aren't any frills (no luxury bathrobes, fancy toiletries or chocolates) like the Premier Palace, but what there is is very good. And the wifi was fast.

I had dinner in the dining room several times and thought the food was excellent and beautifully presented. Breakfast offered a decent selection of cereals, cold cuts and cheeses and hot 'full English' breakfast options. It would have been nice to have a leaf salad available also, but that's my personal preference.

Excellent as the whole experience was, there were a few niggles. Since I will certainly be back, it would be great if these could be addressed. First were the pillows. While it's great to have a choice of soft and hard pillows, the pillows themselves are too small, about a third smaller than regular pillows. I would have liked at least one full-size pillow. It would also have been good to have list of the channels available on the TV so I could quickly find BBC, CNN etc. In terms of the dining room, both the bread rolls and butter were generally served so cold that they were impossible to spread. Warming the rolls and ensuring the butter was around room temperature would have made the world of difference.

Finally an entirely self-indulgent one: I do miss my chocolates. Some of the other hotels would give a few chocolates or similar to guests who stay 3 nights or more. I stayed 4 so it would have been nice to have a little something sweet...

All in all, I can whole-heartedly recommend this hotel and will certainly stay here on my next visits to Kiev.

Dear Artemistica

Thank you for your very kind review. We are all glad that you enjoyed your stay with us in particular the enthusiasm and friendliness of our staff. I will also thank you for sharing your niggles. The size of the pillow is not something we would be able to address in the short term however the other service points we can.
Once again thank you for taking the time to review the hotel. we look forward to welcoming you back on your next trip to Kiev.

The Holiday Inn is brand-spanking new and the rooms are quite nice, if sterile.

The staff behind the desk was extremely helpful and cheery – providing maps, calling cabs, helping with general translation. They seem genuinely happy for you to be there and happy to help. The gym area is nice to have as well with some good equipment and WIFI worked perfectly. The rooms were perfectly comfortable and quiet.

Although the location is a little ways away from the old town, it is pretty easy to take the metro to Olimpiska and then walk the few blocks to the Holiday Inn. It feels safe to do so during the day time. I also felt pretty comfortable doing so at night though you may want to still keep your wits about you should you choose to do so as there are young drunk men here or there. A taxi is pretty cheap as well (e.g., 50 hryvnas) – I’m sure the money you save being a little outside town more than makes up for that expense. (A suggestion for people who don’t speak Ukrainian: Since taxis don’t have meters, you may want to write down the address of the Holiday Inn in Ukrainian and then ask the taxi driver to write down a price in hryvnas before you get into the cab. Otherwise, you may get stuck with an unexpected bill when you get to your location.)

Recently opened the hotel does what it says on the tin. It is a nice Holiday Inn and located just off the main centre of Kiev - you certainly can not walk as easily though the main football stadium is very close by.

I have a slight issue with pillow size - very small - and unfortunately Kiev hotels are all still very much overpriced - this being no exception.

Staff were all very friendly and welcoming and there is a nice breakfast buffet.

I travel to Kiev for business purposes about once every two month. For me it is most important to get a good night sleep and this Holiday Inn is the best place to rest in Kiev in my opinion. The hotel is brand new and you can smell it in the air. This includes mattrases, towels, bed linen and the bathroom. These small details make are so important at least to me).
The location is very convinient as you are set right in the center of Kiev, yet on the quiet side street of the mai road with plenty restaurants in the area.
The staff were very friendly and attentive, including room service. One thing to remember is if you are hungry make sure you order before 22:00 otherwise you only get a choice of cold dishes.
I was very pleased with the wifi, which is free and allows to watch video. I was very surprised to find a gym on eleventh floor, which is not big, but has the essntial gear for a workout. In fact this gym is the best out of all hotel gyms in Kiev.
Overall this is now my favorite hotel in Kiev. Best price to quality ratio. Will defenetley book here on my visits.
