“Lucky, Lucky Us!!”
Reviewed August 22, 2012

Our last morning in Kiev happened to be last Sunday. Our Holiday Inn hotel was a 10 minute walk from the stadium so we sauntered down to take a few photos from the outside. We saw people on the walkways inside the stadium gates and a steady stream of people from the Olimpiiska metro station walking to the stadium. So we joined them and saw an open gate being manned several smart gentlemen. My partner's Ukrainian so she asked them what was happening at the stadium, It was a convention for Jehovah's Witnesses!! We were allowed to enter and went into the stands alongside several thousand JW's who were listening to the preachers / speakers. We took a few photos and left. We felt uneasy because all the ladies were wearing skirts and dresses except my missus and daughter. All the men and boys wore long trousers except me. We stood out somewhat and attracted curious glances.
The stadium is beautiful with it's different coloured seats creating a speckled effect. It would great to see a footy match or gig here. I believe Madonna played here a fortnight ago.
So we had an opportunistic visit and the chance to see this wonderful stadium for free!!

“pity about the result”
Reviewed July 19, 2012

We came for England v Italy in the Euros and found a lovely stadium, great views, good noise inside. As someone else said not a bad seat in the stadium. Easy access to the lower seats, the entrance level is at the top row of the seats. We got away afterwards without any difficulty or queuing. Impressive from the outside as well.

“Impressive stadium from the outside”
Reviewed April 15, 2012

I was staying at the Hotel Rus acord which is right next to this impressive stadium.I was not able to go inside but i walked right around the outside. It looks very impressive and i hope the interior matches up.There is also a museum and a store for Dynamo Kiev FC but i wasnt aware that they were open at the time they visited.given the lack of information in Latin alphabet i wish good luck to everyone who decides to visit Kiev for a match.they as much as their team will surely need it !
