“For bread and pastry..one of the best but..”
Reviewed March 7, 2013

But the cappuccino or the americano with coffee are not drinkable!!

I've to say that one of the best, if not THE BEST, bread in Kiev is here.
No where else you'll have such nice crispy and flavoured bread, unfortunately if you think to have also a rest with a coffee...there is no way!
Take a thea, juice, whatever but not the coffee.
I tried first cappuccino ( i couldn't drink : too hot, the foam not properly done, coffee to watery ) than the easier americano with milk ( again not tasy and too watery ) ..but it's impossible.
I like so much this pastry and i'll go again but just fresh squeezed oranges juice!

“Always fresh”
Reviewed May 28, 2012

I don't eat here but often come just to grab something for home - baguette, bread rolls, or very nice crepes stuffed with meat or cottage cheese. It's always good. Though bread is a bit more expensive than in supermarket, but it's a good quality and every evening there is a discount

“The best bakery in Kiev, but only because there are basically no competitors”
Reviewed January 24, 2012

This boulangerie is good, the products are all fresh, unlike many so called fresh bakeries in Kiev where they serve frozen pastries, La Boulangerie Artisane serves really fresh foods. What I like the most is their selection of breads and baguettes, really good. Their pastries are ok, but again, if you tried real French or Italian ones, these are ok, but nothing special. The good thing is that the people working there are fairly friendly (for Ukraine, of course) and they also have decent salads and sandwiches. The place is not that expensive, but caffè espresso is not good, but if you are not so concerned about a real Italian espresso, it's ok. Definetely the only place I would go to for a pastry in Kiev.

“A true French Boulangerie in Kiev! I piece of Montmartre on Yaroslavov Val.”
Reviewed November 7, 2011

A true French Boulangerie in Kiev! I piece of Montmartre on Yaroslavov Val. Good breads, crusty baguettes, great pastries and good coffees. Pleasant to eat in and to take out. Try it. Open 7 days a week.

“Joie de vivre”
Reviewed August 8, 2011

This is a combination of bread and pastry shop and a Cafe in French style. You get some nice warm tarts and quiches but also you can select from a white varity of pastries. As well as all kind of coffees specialities. And after you had your break and you may stay In your own apartment in Kiev you can take home breads of the French and Italian type as well as the more German kind of small breads (Brötchen orSemmeln). This place makes every expat happy!
