“Baroque in Kiev”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 9, 2013

St Andrew's Church was finished in 1754, built on the spot of a much earlier church destroyed in 1240 during the invasion of Batu Khan. St Andrew's is at the top of the descent to the Podil area, and the street next to it is usually filled with souvenir stands. This is an active church, so remember to show respect by dressing properly: women should cover their heads with a scarf, and men should remove caps. There don't seem to be any restrictions against photography inside.

“Beautiful Little Church”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 2, 2013

This is a small church with beautiful architecture and brilliant Italian paintings throughout the building. Situated on a small hill overlooking the Podil region of Kiev, the Dnipro River is also visable. This church is certainly one to visit on your trip to Kiev.

“The striking blue will call you”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 11, 2013

When I first saw it from a distance I thought wow look at those beautiful structure and colors were stunning. It was the same when I got near it. Although its smaller compared to other main attractions in Kiev it was a beautiful sight. I didn't had a chance to see inside but it was worth the look near and beside the street its on is full of small souvenir shops so pay a visit to the area..

“Another amazing Kiev Church”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 8, 2013

One must travel to Andreivsky Spusk to purchase locally made crafts and arts and in the middle of it all stands St. Andrews's Church. Not as elegant as other Kiev churches but one of the most well known. It is perched up high so be prepared for lengthy stair cases. It's aqua color sets it apart for everything else so you surely won't miss it!!
