Wonderful place, food always of high quality with very affordable price. For years they are #1. Always full of people! Their ossobucco lamb is my favourite! And many other things including desserts. Also goo delivery service.

We discovered the new Oliva restaurant on Pushkin Street, very close to our hotel. We went there a few times during our stay in Kiev. We enjoyed their outdoor terrace, very good pizza and finally tasty grilled prawns with eggplant and zucchini. Being Italian we did not feel like trying the pasta but it looked really good. As other reviews say, the price quality ratio is very good. The restaurant is nicely decorated and the waiters are helpful. Unfortunately some dishes and drinks on the menu are not always available: we were disappointed that gin and tonic was not available any of the three times we went there. But overall we liked the place a lot. It really feels a bit like being in Italy.

I have been to Oliva several times in different parts of the city. It has nice food at really affordable prices. When taking into account that one is not in Italy and this is a chain restaurant, I found the food enjoyable. I've tried their soup, the Greek salad, eggplant and penne and found them all nice for the price. They are also willing to do substitutions or additions to any of the dishes which can be helpful for those who have food allergies.

What I really like is the atmosphere. They do a lovely job creating a very specific environment that is part urban - part grandma's house and are especially fun in the spring, summer and fall when you can sit outside. Because the restaurant is popular, it is helpful to make a reservation on the weekends (especially in Podil).

There are other places to go in Kyiv if you are looking for a more traditionally Italian meal.
Props to: The Oliva near the train station/Ibis Hotel/gardens for it's really good service.

I was with my colleague in this restaurant somewhere near Red Army street - this is a chain of restaurants and they differ... This one was very bussy, very crowded and kinda claustrofobic. Like made for kindergarden canteen... Mainly this is pizza/pasta place and somewhat average. Service very slow and confused. For a hot day, a/c's should be turned on. Had a pizza and beer, well, nothing to remember. And yeah, beer was not properly chilled.
