We went to Pechersky Lavra rather late so didn't make it down to the caves - that will have to wait until another visit. The various museums were closing and it was getting too dark to see so we thought we'd see that the microminiatures were about. I could have spent hours there - there were a limited number of exhibits but postcards on sale of other ones which I would love to have seen. How anyone can carve/draw/create these tiny images is difficult to imagine but they are truly lovely to look at at marvel

For only 10 grivas, or 1 euro, you only need 15 minutes to get through this museum, and it's absolutely impressive!

The exhibits, all microminiatures created by a Ukrainian artist, is a very novel art you won't see anywhere else.

It's on the Lavra Monastery grounds so make sure to combine the visit.

You can see this museum in Pechersk Lavra area. There are a lot of miniatures which you can see only through magnyfiing lens

Saw amazing art carved into a strand of hair, placed on the head of a pin, and other really cool things. You view through magnifying lenses, but can also see the actual size of the object. Worth seeing!

Unbelievable pieces of art, it is a must to see!!!!!! The artist dedicated verses to every work (with English translation as well), if you are lucky you can meet Mykola Syadristy there, usually in summer in the cafe outside the museum.
