“Weird stuff”

First of all: the position on the map is wrong, its not on Vasilkyvska str. Its on Bessarabska square just near Bessarabsky rynok and Kreshatik str.

Well, about the place, If you have nothing common with modern art - it will be weird. Very weird. Quintessention of nonsence. But at least the enter if free and this place have realy crazy W.C. with mirrors everywhere. This is the only reason you should visit it even if you sick of modern art.

“Arty side of Ukraine”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 13, 2013

Was dragged here by my better half. Had a Chinese art exhibition on at the time, and was ok and quite informative. Entry is free as well.

Quite a small museum, although it is moderately easy to get to. There is a cafe at the top - although considering it is owned by an (admittedly philanthropic) oligarch, it was not quite my thing.

“Very good”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 20, 2013 via mobile

Very nice art gallery. In the very center of the city. The entrance is free. Too much security that gives you the impression to be more in National Bank then in Art Gallery. It maybe not in the top ten things to see in Kiev but I would definitely recommend you to visit it if you were caught by rain in the center.

“Map Location Wrong on Tripadvisor”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 17, 2013

as of today (17 Nov 2013) the tripadvisor map shows this on "Vasiylvskaya" while the museum is on "Velka Vasiylvskaya" right in the centre and not five stop out of town as the map shows.

Otherwise just go - nothing else like it in Kiev.

“Strange place, but for Kiev this is a big breakthrough.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 14, 2013

The gallery in front of the food market , the epicenter of violent trade. At the entrance you are greeted by a hefty security guards inspect bags and passed through a metal detector . Fee, however, for input are not taken. Narrow stairs , low ceilings in many rooms ... The feeling that the room is " turned up on the occasion of the " do not leave it locked apartment building , not carefully planned and raised to an art space . The walls are plastered with mediocre stairs and tight creative artists, was not privileged to exhibit in the main halls . But ! What they bring and put up - it really is a feat , and huge costs. Well worth a visit to all lovers of contemporary art, especially those who have never seen a good museums and galleries.
