Good art. Worth a laugh and reminds you of how the robber barons of the US also tried to buy legitimacy ... but that was what 150 years ago?

My favourite place in Kiev. sFamou modern art artists are having their exhibitions here. Very interesting and great Sunday afternoon. And unbelievingly it is for free!

This is a very trendy gallery that hosted an exhibit of Paul McCartney's art when I was there. But the greatest thing about it is owner, Viktor Pinchuk, who puts on a free concert in Maidan Nezoleznishti every year with some world-famous musicians. In 2007, it was Elton John, and in 2008 it was Paul McCartney on his 64th birthday (in the rain:)

I visited Pinchuk during a recent visit to Kyiv and loved it! Very unique and interesting exhibits. I especially liked the painting "The Girl Who Had Everything!" I stood there for quite some time trying to ascertain all of the hidden images. I also liked the various photographs of American trailer parks and neighborhoods which captured a wide range of emotions and the disparity of wealth in the States.

The foggy room was crazy! If you are claustrophobic you should avoid it as you will be in serious freak out mode because it feels like you are trapped at times. But, it's a really fun experience. And the museum is free!! We went on a Saturday and the line was long, but it moved very fast and it was well worth the wait.

Enjoy!!
