I love staying at this hostel - the staff is friendly and helpful, the location is ideal and the price is right. I've stayed at this hostel many times over the course of two years, and I've never had a negative experience. The full kitchen is a bonus, and the small capacity ensures that you aren't kept awake by large groups of people.

One of the best hostels I've ever stayed. Location - perfect. On the main street of Kiev, close to many tourist spots, and pubs/discos as well. Many good and cheap restaurants around (like Puzata Chata). Great staff, awesome-looking, very kind, friendly, and helpful. Great social atmosphere in the hostel. Notice - PRINT OUT DIRECTIONS FROM THE HOSTEL SITE CAUSE IT'S NOT EASY TO FIND WITHOUT IT. Hostel is not really well signed, it's because of stupid ukrainian law - (no allowance for hotel/hostel adverts in public areas).

The TIU Kreschatik Hostel has to be one of my favorite hostels ever. The people are all really great, they're helpful with finding places to go and just fun to hang out with. They also all speak really good english. Location is also a great plus. It's right in Independence Square across the street from the Maiden, with the metro station just at the end of the block. They also provide maps and information on free walking tours. Safety was also really good. The front door code is changed on a regular basis and everyone is given a private locker for their stay. The kitchen is fully stocked with anything you could want to cook a whole meal and there's also a washer and DRYER. The only one I've seen in Eastern Europe. If you're a Peace Corps Volunteer you get a 20% discount all year round, which means there are a lot of PCVs who stay here, and they have some great advice on traveling in Ukraine and what places to see. If you will be visiting Kiev this is definitely the place to stay.
