This place of peace is a very beautiful Orthodox church and monastery. The incredible architecture is beautiful, and enhanced by the golden dome and combination of colours that I find very pleasing.

This is a new cathedral - built in 1999 - but has tremendous character despite its young age. On a sunny day the striking blue exterior and gold domes provide an amazing contrast against a clear sky. The interior is also worth seeing. Cost of entry is free!

This is another stunning cathedral in the Kiev which was free to go and see something I would recommend especially as it has no cost.

This is a new church with an adjacent old church. When we went there, a service was going on and the priests in black were chanting. The space of the main church is small but with a lot of paintings and icons. For those who have not seen an Orthodox Church this is quite an experience.

The exterior is truly beautiful with such wonderful domes and incredible paintings and decorations. The interior is amazingly ornate and it’s only the paintings on the walls that give away the fact it’s less than 20 years old. It says no photography but no one challenged anyone but don’t use flash. You can buy candles to burn in remembrance. Highly recommended. Lovely small church next to it is also Worth a look.
The public toilets are nearby but cost 3uah and you squat to use them, go to a cafe, buy a drink and use theirs instead.
