This Czech restaurant--pronounced "Staromak"--is a great option for pretty authentic Czech food. They have all the Czech favorites--schnitzel, svichkova, pork knuckle, and of course, good Czech beer (Krusovice). They play Czech radio and have lots of "Czech" decorations throughout (including photos of Karel Gott). You can actually order a "meter of beer" to serve to yourself and your friends at your table. They also have a lunch specials menu that is a bit cheaper than the full dinner menu.
The only drawback here is the service is hit or miss--sometimes you get the dish you ordered, sometimes you don't. Sometimes the meals come right away, sometimes it takes an hour. Sometimes they bring the bill when you ask, sometimes they don't. But they do try. Overall, it's worth the risk--the food and atmosphere outweigh the spotty service.
