This is a fantastic museum that describes life on the eastern / Ukrainian front in WWII. A nice counterpoint to the western-heavy exhibitions that most of us have probably seen before. Exhibits aren't in English but there are English information sheets for every room, and most of the exhibits are self-explanatory anyway. Be careful: this museum (the good one) is directly under the massive statue. Avoid the smaller museum with the entrance about 500 metres away which, while part of the same complex, is a dire tourist trap.
