Thisplace takes you back in the past! Have your walking shoes on and let's go for a walk! The street is full of different old ukrainian things, pictures, souvenirs one can see and buy. And if you are tired stop by for a small bite at one of the cafes!

This church reminds me of St Petersburg, the colours the lines. It has been recently renovated so looks very fresh. The location is great. At the top of the hill by the church are many street vendors and they continue down the hill in single file. Make sure you walk to the bottom and then turn to the right at the main street. It is worth seeing the architecture and street cafes etc. Don't worry about the climb back you can take the old funicular back up the hill for about 15 UAH at last trip. I think that is about 10 - 15 cents USF and Canadian. Take some time and enjoy the area.
We had a local friend guide us around and tell stories about the different spots.

Walking up or down the steep cobblestone street, St. Andrews stands prominent and shining about mid hill on an overlook with all of Kiev below her. What an inspiring sight. Photos don't capture its beauty. Don't miss it!

Small church located near Podil district is one of the Kyiv symbols. The Church inside with its beautiful iconostasis is not often available for visiting due to restoration works, but you can always enjoy the outside view.
