“Highly recommend Arkabarka!”
Reviewed May 1, 2012

The modern architecture of Arkabarka is great, especially the wide and open window screen towards the Danube. Stayed there with a friend in February 2012 during state of emergency in Serbia, due to the freezing temperatures and the snow. Despite the cold, Arkabarka was always heated by the stove in the "living room" downstairs. Though it is a 20 minute walk to the city centre, it's also recommendable in winter time. Very nice staff!

We (a Swiss couple of 56 years) have enjoyed both the nice hostel and the personnel's very friendly way of looking after the guests. They organized us a boat trip and a dinner in a fish restaurant on the Danube's waterfront which became the highligt of our Belgrade holidays! When again in Belgrade, we surely will try to book ArkaBarka once more.

We (2 adults and child 9 years old) stayed at ArkaBarka Floating Hostel one day and one night. All service staff was very friendly, the room was comfortable and the view of the river and Belgrade's fortress.
The location is very good, on the river, in the park. There were 2 bikes and we took them to travel over Belgrade.

ArkaBarka is in a wonderful location and the staff is really friendly and helpful. I can truly say this has been the best hostel i stayed at so far, talking in overall experience. The double rooms are not very big, but lovely and comfortable.
I highly recommend it and i know i will be returning to Belgrade for the hostel, not only for the city :)

Room Tip: double rooms are perfect not only for couples, the bed is big enough and so is the duvee

lovely time spent here.great hospitality.
will be returning and recommending others.

just a few points.
would have been good to have large flat screen tv in common area also coffee machine serving illy or lavazza.

also curtains to divide the beds or at least the bunks would be better for extra privacy.

also private reading lights were only present for some of the beds.

really appreciated the free bikes.

Headed to Belgrade for a weekend trip from the States and booked with Arkabarka after finding it online. We couldn't have been happier with our stay. The place is very cool and the location is great! Our room was very clean and hanging out for a drink in the lounge/bar area after arriving was a great way to kick off our trip. We also really enjoyed our friendly bartender who greeted us upon our arrival: she was fun and had great insight about where to go. We enjoy walking and were able to walk from the hostel to the city and to Zenum (where we had dinner one evening at Saran - its a long walk but well worth it!) with ease. We wanted some place to stay that was different than the usual but comfortable enough for us - a couple from the city of Chicago in their late 40's - and Arkabarka was everything we could have hoped for and more.
