After moving from London to Belgrade, finding an Indian restaurant was one of my top priorities for eating out, and unfortunately, this is the only option so far in Belgrade.
Being from London and eating curry at least once a week, I was very disapointed with the food. We ordered a variety of dishes, and all of them failed to impress.
In short, the food was prepared with way too much chilli, and curry powder was used as the main source of flavouring. Now I understand the difficulty in sourcing Indian spices here in Belgrade, but if you open this kind of restaurant, then it has to be authentic, and I'm sorry to say, it wasn't.
If they can source some authentic spices and herbs; garlic, ginger, garam masala, turmeric would be a start, then they could deliver something of a higher quality, that also has the different flavours that are found in Indian dishes.
Also, be prepared to bring cash, as on our visit, they didnt take cards, and we had to walk to the ATM to pay the bill.
I hope they can do something about the food, as they have the potential to provide the only real Indian food in the city, but only if its authentic.
