next to the museum of 25.maj, Tito´s official birthday is Tito´s last home. Good exposition of how we celebrated his birthday in old Yugoslavia. But mainly a place to think and give respect to this great man of 20th century

Good to go and check it out if you want to know a bit more about Tito and the passion of his people. The museum on premises is fantastic to see. It is full cultural gifts that he received from not only from the people of former Yugoslavia and also worldwide.

To be honest, I was a bit disappointed while visiting the "House of Flowers". Apart from Tito's tomb, his two famous suits and interesting facts about the non alligned movement, there is nothing much too see. A bunch of gifts that the Yugoslav president got from all over the world. I expected to see a glimpse of his personal life.

Tito's mausoleum (the House of Flowers) is definitely one of the more unusual museums you can visit in Europe. Tito's tomb itself is fairly modest but the attractions in the attached museums are what really sets this place apart. The tomb chamber itself contains a large collection of your batons elaborately decorated for the youth rally formerly held as part of Tito's birthday celebrations. The "Old Museum" next door contains a collection of artifacts ranging from clothing and household items donated by individuals and clubs from the former Yugoslavia to elaborate gifts made by diplomatic visitors which will interest anyone with an interest in 20th century history. The gifts were used to anchor collections ranging from exhibits of traditional Balkan clothing and furniture to collections of weapons from around the region and some ethnographic exhibits based on items donated by foreign leaders and communities of Yugoslavs living abroad.

Worth a visit and only costs around 2 euros. The only downside is the location, which is a bit far from the main tourist areas in Belgrade.

The Tito Mausoleum provides a good history of how powerful Tito was and how he lived. The guides we had said they were happy to have Tito as their leader vs. being under the control pof the Soviet Union. There are many pictures of Tito during his rule along with some of his personal artifacts.
