“1820 Style”
Reviewed March 16, 2013

This is a jewel hidden in Belgrade. Illustrates the Turkish style and the move into western styles through the 19th Century and early 20th century. It has a Turkish hammam and divan rooms. The furnishings are lovely with much goldwork embroidery and original costumes on display. Highly recommended,

“Hallmark of Serbian Aristocracy”
Reviewed January 9, 2013

Residence of Princess Ljubica is considered to be a true representative of Balkan architecture - it is a peculiar mixture of Western European and Ottoman influence on Serbian traditional architecture. Dating from 19th century, this beautiful residence is settled in the most interesting part of Belgrade: just steps away are Patriarch's Court, beautiful Assembly Church (Saborna Crkva) and the oldest tavern in Belgrade - Question mark ("?").

Really nice building next to the Saborna Crkva in Belgrade. I believe that it is a museum or at least gallery space, but I never went in...

“Go back to XIX century”
Reviewed April 3, 2012

Museums in Belgrade are unsung gems of history. Konak of Princess Ljubica looks like it's transfered right from XIX century. There are several rooms in the Konak covering many architectural and interior design styles of town-class of Serbia in XIX and XX century. For the price it's valuable to make the time (about an hour) to check it out.

“Boring”
Reviewed March 18, 2012

there are no audioguides, the house is pretty small, so unless you like to stare at furniture, probably skip it.
