I came here for a short visit and really enjoyed the walk and the magnificent views to Sava and Danube rivers. Plan about one hour visit.

With a very important place in the European history, the Belgrade Fortress is even today an impressive place for itself. Also, the views over the confluence of Sava and Danube as well as the ones over the city are beautiful. When visited, there was also an exhibition of military equipment, from missile launchers to old cannons, tanks, etc. The entrance is free.

This former Roman fortress has a tremendous history at the strategic intersection of the Danube and Sava rivers. The City of Belgrade has done an impressive job of retaining its historical significance and keeping it as a wonderful park and center for families!

Beautiful fortress and fabulous view of the Danube. Was here on a sunny, beautiful day and the views were stunning. Check out the history of the fortress, very interesting.

Worth exploring for the nature and beautiful park alone, but also cool to see the old fort and learn more about Serbian history.

There are multiple areas to visit, each with a small entrance price (tower, well, museum, etc)

Our favorite part of the old fort was sunrise runs through the park in early morning before any people were there.

Really great view of the river and an awesome place to sit and read and book and people watch.

The fortress itself is bigger and more beautiful than expected. It’s probably not on the highest point of the city but high enough to have a breathtaking view of the capital and of the crossing point between Danube and Sava River.

A lovely way to spend a couple of hours, with superb views over the Sava and Danube rivers. Interesting exhibition of war time armoury and more medieval torture equipment (if you like that sort of thing!).

There is a good restaurant in the centre of the grounds and the beer and sausages are great.

Enjoy the view on the confluence of the River Sava and Danube, walk through the Kalemegdan Park and visit ZOO. The fortress is declared a Monument of Culture of Exceptional Importance by UNESCO. The admission is free.
