Knez Mihajlova is the main street in Belgade. There is lots of people strolling around, lots of bars, caffes, shops and street performers. don't miss it.

“The best place to spend your time in Belgrade”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 30, 2013

Knez Miahailova street is the heart of Belgrade, the place where all the action takes place and where the most beautiful architecture of the city can be found.
Named after prince Mihailo Obrenovic, it’s a totally pedestrianized street with numerous good restaurants, trendy bars and cozy cafes and also lots of great shopping facilites.
The street is located between Terazije (a popular city spot) and Kalemegdan fortress. It takes about 10-15 minutes to walk from one end to the other.
Lots of beautiful and famous architecture can be found on or near Knez Mihailova: Republic square (Trg republike) with the national museum and national theatre, cathedral church, Studentsij Trg, the Academy of Science and Arts (arguably the most beautiful building), Residence of Princess Ljubica and last but not least Kalemegdan fortress are all in that area.
Unfortunately, I visited during winter when the days were short and dark. So I can only imagine how great it must be to spend some time at Knez Mihailova on a hot summer evening.
Without any doubt, the pedestrianized area around Knez Mihailova street is the nicest part of the city and should not be missed.

“Main Street of city centre”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 25, 2013

Wanted or not, we must pass this street. It's a main artery of the city's pedestrian area. Shops, hotels, restaurants, street ice cream sellers, artists, road to Kalemegdan... In summer time full of life. In winter also. Many places open outdoor deep into autumn.

“Milkshakes!”

Somewhere on this street I got an amazing milkshake! And I really enjoyed it since Balkans are not really a place for such desserts.
