“Interesting freskas inside, ask for details ;)”
Reviewed August 27, 2013

Magnificent and unique. Nice area around it and really must see part of Kalemegdan and Belgrade!

Ask for more information regarding inside fresco inside - there are "hidden" some Russian and Serbian Royal family members and a lot off other interesting figures about interior of "military" Church!

This is a perfect sample that often small things are more beatiful than bigger. This small church is located in side of kalemegdan and the location add some peculiarity like a beatiful view on the Danub

“Most Romantic Church and place in Belgrade”
Reviewed September 9, 2012

This is really most romantic church in Belgrade. It is very small, one of the smallest churches in Belgrade. It is ivy wrapped and situated within Belgrade Fortress Walls. This Medieval settings can make you filling lost in Medieval times, with dragons and fairy ladies captured in the Tower overlooking the church but it was built after the First World War and it is dedicated to numerous soldiers and invalids of that war. That is why some people called it Military Church. In front of the Church there are two Guardians - Medieval Serbian Soldier and Serbian Soldier from the First World War. When you enter the church and when you see it's very plain and modest furniture you can hardly distinguish that Chandelier is made from the arms (sables, rifles, knifes) But this beautiful scenery, ivy, roses, other flowers and plants, Fortress Tower from behind and view on the two big rivers Sava and Danube are the reason that couples very often choose this small church for their wedding. And also worth of mentioning is that this church has very good women choir.
