Belgrade is a wonderful city. Our guide Vladislav Joviv was friendly, easy to understand and wanted to share with us his passion for the city. He was prompt in picking us up, made sure we saw all the highlights of the city and shared with us his solid knowledge of the history of the area. Vlada entertained us for a whole day. We all went away with a new appreciation of this wonderful city. You would not be disappointed to have his for your guide!

We took the 4 hour Private Belgrade Tour with Slobodan Manojlović.
The guide was very good, with very good knowledge of the city's history and very good english.
We recommend this tour if you have a few days as you get I good apprehension of the city.

This was a fascinating day tour from Belgrade which took our family group of three (ranging in age from 23 to 63) in a south westerly direction from Belgrade across the Mačva plain to the beautiful countryside of West Serbia around the Drina river, Jadar district and Cer mountain. Dobri, our English speaking host for the day, was an expert and knowledgeable guide and a great travelling companion. The energy, commitment and patience he showed in meeting our requests was outstanding.
This was a long day on the road (from 8.30am to 9pm) but we enjoyed every minute. In addition to the published itinerary we were able to incorporate a small detour to visit another nearby area of particular interest to ourselves and Dobri was unstinting in his efforts to find the particular locations we wanted to see.
We also asked for a coffee stop in the beautiful spa park at Banja Koviljača before beginning the ascent to Gučevo and would recommend this to others taking this tour. After a couple of hours driving from Belgrade it was great to stretch our legs in the fresh upland air. We were fortunate in having a clear and sunny day for our tour – the view from the war memorial at Gučevo was panoramic and made even more vivid Dobri’s description of the momentous historical events which took place on this mountain a century ago.
We continued on to the monastery of Tronoša, a beautiful gem nestling in the hills - a haven of tranquillity interrupted only by the sound of a babbling stream. We were given an interesting description of the interior of the monastery church by an elderly Orthodox nun, with Dobri acting as interpreter.
Then to Tršić - the birthplace of Vuk Karadžić, the reformer of the Serbian language and alphabet - also a major literary figure. Restored period cottages in this beautiful setting underline Vuk’s simple country origins.
A short walk took us to Konak Mišić - a country inn where the genial owner, Pedja, warmly welcomed us in the traditional Serbian style with slatko and rakia. We then enjoyed a grand and delicious homemade meal, sitting outside among the trees in the early evening sun. Absolutely idyllic.
Our return to Belgrade came only too soon – this day was the highlight of our trip to Serbia.
As well as repeating our sincere thanks to Dobri, we must also mention the efficient and courteous online communications we had with Miljan and Tamara in the Serbian Private Tours office when planning the tour.
The photographs taken by Dobri on the day of our tour have been received via email following our return home and are much appreciated.
Thank you all so much for everything.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

On may 2nd me and my wife went on a tour to Novi Sad and surroundings with our host Vladislav Jović ( Vlada ).
Novi Sad, on the banks of the Danube river about 60Km from Belgrade, is a very beautiful city. In the surroundings, instead of going to wineries we arranged to visit some old churches and monasteries. We didnt expect such beautiful places so it was beyond our expectations. The next day also accompanied by Vlada we went to see parts of Belgrade we didnt by ourselves including Zemun, that although very close to Belgrade is completely different in architecture and atmosphere. We were astonished in a good way with all the information Vlada provided from history and data of the places we visited as well as general information about economy and geography of Serbia including ancient history as well as recent history of the dissolution of Iugoslavia and its context.
Vlada was very flexible regarding the itinerary, time spent in the places and very easy to talk to.At the end he left us at the airport for our flight back home and gave us a gift to remember serbian food. For those who want to visit Serbia I no doubt recommend Serbian Private Tours with Vlada as your host to make you feel literally at home.

Having just compete our 8 day trip with Miljan I cannot recommend him and Serbian Private Tours enough. With only 2 weeks notice Miljan generated a completely customised tour that suited our needs. Eating and staying in locations that we would never have found if we travelled without a guide, made this one of the most memorable and informative holidays I've been on. Visiting Serbia, Kosovo and Bosnia, Miljan organised additional guides outside of Serbia to ensure we got a local experience and more importantly a balanced perspective which is particularly important considering the recent conflicts in this region. His knowledge, flexibility, and relaxed attitude made us feel like we were travelling with a mate instead of a guide yet behind the scenes each day was meticulously planned (and the car spotlessly cleaned)! He even arranged 8 days of perfect weather for us !
Seriously, if you're considering a trip to Serbia/ The Balkans, these guys won't let you down.
