It is still closed and people there are used to it now. I have asked a waitress if it's open for visiting, at least some parts of it, i should have checked TripAdvisor first...

The National Museum has been closed for renovation in many years and no one knows when it will be reopened again. In the photo you can see the museum covered with tarpaulin to the left.

Is near the Knez Mihailova pedestrian area and worth a peak, as is nice buiding, partially covered by masks, due to unstarted/unfinished works in progress...

It is a shame that such an important museum containing so many treasures has been closed for so many years without real reason... For more than a decade the museum was closed for renovation that never happened, but some parts of it were still open to visitors... Since the beginning of 2015 the museum is completely closed and the works for the renovation have finally started...! They are supposed to finish 2 or 3 years later, and even a huge digital watch on the facade is counting the time left till the completion of the works and the reopening of the museum to the public... Let's hope so...
