Seven of us (three kids and four adults of American, Serbian, Irish and German extraction) had dinner on this romantic boat, looking out on the Great War Island and Kalemegdan. The waiters were very accomodating, providing blankets and mosquito repellent. The food was delicious. The spicy peppers were indeed hot, the shopska salad maybe a bit bland. But the main courses were excellent throughout: Perch, Dorada and chicken. With the fish they give a choice to have it served filleted or with heads and tails. We chose the more laborious option, which added a fun element. The side dish - grilled vegetables - was mouth wateringly marinated and garlicky. The kids loved the palacinka desserts. Unfortunately they have no draft beer on offer, but several bottles of Nisicko Dark did the business. Like in all Serbian restaurants most patrons smoked like chimneys, which was was a little bothersome, especially for the kids, although we were seated outside. The musicians played Tamburica tunes, one of which was "Ti nisi neces vratiti" - "You will not come back". Well, we surely will!
