“Great central location for Belgrade visits”
Reviewed October 8, 2012

I was in Belgrade with some friends and we stayed in Rooms 29th for 5 days. I have to say that as far as location goes there isn't a more central one in Belgrade - we were 200m from the city's landmark Horseman statue which is the very centre of the city. The apartment is just above the famous bohemian "Skadarlija" street, which has a really nice rustic feel and amazing food choices. There are many traditionally Serbian restaurants with specialities and grills all along the street and we simply didn't have enough time to experience all of them. Some restaurants have live traditional Serbian string music which serves as a nice background to the feasts you can indulge in, as we had.

There are plenty of shops in the area, some of them open 24 hours - really handy for buying cigarettes at 4 in the morning. :)

The apartment itself is quite large with 3 separate bedrooms, we were greeted warmly by the owner who gave us a tour of the surroundings and pointed us to things to do and sights to see in the city. He also recommended some good night clubs in the vicinity and we weren't disappointed. There are loads of coffee shops and small pubs nearby as it is the city centre, so there was plenty to do without even venturing too far. Coming from the EU, the prices of eating out, a few drinks, as well as the accommodation itself were surprisingly low. We had the whole apartment to ourselves so it felt quite private, which was really really nice. We were also pleasantly surprised by the quality of the breakfast that was included in the price.

The bus stop is in front of the building's entrance, if you plan on taking the city's public transport. We managed to fill our time to the max without using the buses even once tho, and the time just flew by!I plan to come to Belgrade again for sure!

Room Tip: If you're a couple travelling I'd go for either of the two larger rooms which are overlookin...
