The hotel itself is what you can expect from a 3 star hotel. Not more or less. A plus is included wireless connection covering all rooms.
The restaurant instead offered poor service with too long to wait ordering, the quality of food was average or below and to many times they did not have all items advertized in menu.

Clean hotel, large room, superb staff. Breakfast was omlette, frankfurturs plus the usual cereals, yoghurts, cheese, cold meats, jam, toast coffee, tea, juice etc. Situated about 10-15 minutes walk from the palace & the old town. Hop on hop off bus (25 lei each for the day) stops 5 (though park opposite) & 8 (the palace) are within easy walking distance. Restuants & fast food places on & just off main road towards palace. The old town is full of restuarants. Booked tour of palace the day before we did it as gets booked up if busy on day. Tour lasted 1 hour & was 1 km walking including several stairs, covered less than 5% of the building which has 1000 rooms. Tour cost 25 lei but there are several different tours that cover the basement & other areas of the building. Most main rooms are conference halls but going onto the balcony that looks over the city was highlight.

Just completed a three night stay at Hotel Trianon and can sum it up one word: Wonderful! For the price we paid, the location of the property and the overall hotel suited our needs perfectly. The staff was gracious, accommodating, and friendly.

Our room on the second floor was clean, a good size and had a nice comfy bed. Relatively new construction meant that the building looked sharp and new. The hotel even has a restaurant for breakfast, dinner or a late night drink (we only took advantage of the late night drink) and a strong WiFi signal throughout the property.

The hotel is just on the other side of Cismigiu Park - which is a nice place in itself - and is about a ten minute walk from Old Town, The Art Museum and many other central attractions.

The only downsides is that the water pressure in the shower left something to be desired and the walls are a bit thin (If I spoke Romanian, I could have recited the phone call that guy in the room next to us had one morning). Overall, recommend!

The Trianon hotel is situated just perfectly - in the closest vicinity of the Parliament building, a short walk to the Old Town and with a huge marvellous park just accross the street.
Our room was of a decent size, perfectly clean and nicely furnished, having even flowers on the window. The bathroom was perfectly clean as well, even the shower curtain was new and spotless (I usually avoid touching them in hotels as they usually look old and dirty). There was no soap in our batroom, but was provided by the recepitonist as soon as we asked for it. There was a hair-dryer available in the room, the iron was provided on request.
Wi-Fi was functioning perfectly in the room. There was a plasma TV, mini-bar and air-conditioning.
Breakfast was not included in the rate, but could be taken in a nice hotel cafeteria at the price of 8 €. The breakfast-buffet was very rich.
The receptionists were extremely helpful. We arrived late at night and the welcome was really warm and promising. The kind female receptionist provided city maps, on which she even circled all the places of interest and explained us how to get around.
There is also a small souvenir-shop at the reception.
A small terrace is in the middle of the hotel, which is very cosy for a drink and chat.
The only thing looking ugly in this hotel was its corridors, with plain dirty-looking carpets and walls free of any pictures. They would be looking much nicer and warmer if decorated with some posters, pictures or flowers.
We felt really good in this hotel and would recommend it to anyone.

Having spent a great deal of my life in hotels, I appreciate well-done basics: courteous and competent front desk, good bed, functional bathroom, some space to do my morning stretches, wi-fi access and a decent breakfast. The Trianon provides all of the above and a nice ambience as well. There is a large park virtually across the street and the old town of Bucharest is a 15 min walk . If this meets your needs, you will not be disappointed.. Of course, if you are looking for "luxury" you can stay around the corner at the 5-star L'Epoque and pay twice as much.

It is a very nice and clean hotel in the city of Bukarest near the very nice Cismigiu park.
It has nice rooms and a relaxing small veranda in the middle of the Hotel.
Prices are reasonable (better rates booking in the internet) and the hotel staff is friendly.
the center of the city is all in walking distance (10 to 15 min)
As well it is a quiet place.

Hotel Trianon is a great point to visit Bucharest. It is near Lipscani (the old city) and near the Parliament. The hotel is located near a park that is such a great place to drink a beer and enjoying Romanian life.especially in the weekends it is very crowded....What a great experience...
The hotel itself is clean and has a wonderful open air indoor square...The service in the hotel is great! The staff is always helpfull and give their advice to make sure you have a blast in this beautiful town.
The rooms are clean and the interieur is basic, but everything you need is there(bath,TV...).
The breakfast is simple but nice. The only thing is that the breakfast-coffee is not so good....but that's a detail.
I recommend this hotel to everyone because price and quality are in balance. We are surely go back to this great place to stay....
Suggestions to visit Bucharest:Bucharest is a big city,so it's best to take the touristic bus around town....
You have to visit the Parliament, when you are in Bucharest! This is also possible on a Sunday...
On sundays around 11 am (in the summertime) a band is playing in the Cismigiu-park...a lot of people are dancing and enjoying the music...this small park is the place to be in the weekends!
