The tour around Bucharest was a really great choice that I made. Doru was very knowledgeable tour guide that told us a lot about the history of Bucharest and took us to the most interesting places. Even though he did not have to, he also helped us a lot with issues that we had about getting around the town and staff like that. He was ready to answer us any question that we had

Hello again,
Thank you so much for the kind review. I'm glad we managed to have a lovely tour so early in the morning: our tour was the earliest city tour we ever did (7:30 am ) :). I loved it.
And yes, we love to give people more information about Bucharest (where to eat, what to do in the evening, and so on).
See you in Prague :)
All the best,
Doru

My wife has been working in Bucharest for a year but after 2 tours in as many days (Ruxana-- Hideden Gems, Robert-- Alternative Bucharest) and a street art workshop (Kitra) our sense of the place has been completely transformed. We took our 10-year old along and absorbed an astonishing amount about the city past and contemporary in a few very pleasurable hours of easy-going ambling. It helps to have some foundation of familiarity with place and context, of course, but Robert and Ruxana did a fantastic job of conjuring up the lost, revealing the hidden, and enriching the evident. Kitra, a noted Romanian street artist, was superb with our son and has left him obsessed with stencilling. You can't go wrong with Interesting Times-- we're going to do more of the tours before summer ends.

Hi,
thank you so much for your kind words.
For us there is no greater reward and no greater satisfaction than to see guests doing 3 or 4 tours with us. It means that we must be doing something right. Me and my colleagues would kindly like to thank you for choosing Interesting Times Bureau to experience Bucharest.
Also please note that we are always working on new and exciting experiences for 2016 so stay tuned :)
All the best,
Doru

We enjoyed a wonderful dinner - delicious food and great conversation. The host, Stephan, took the time to explain the dishes and some history as well. This was a truly unique experience off the typical tourist track. Highly recommend it!!

"Hello again,
Thank you very much for choosing to spend Sunday evening with Raluca and me.
It was a very nice encounter and we shared a lot of interesting information.

I always love to talk about the our local food and the history that made it happen. Because here, in Bucharest, history is always part of what we eat. Perhaps more, than in other places.

Kind Regards,"

This was a one of a kind tour and one of my highlights from my time in Bucharest. Robert is a knowledgeable, friendly, and enthusiastic tour guide who took me and two others on an adventure containing abandoned buildings and interesting street art. Our 4-5 hour tour moved at a leisurely and informal pace throughout the afternoon, and it was as if we were being shown around by a friend. 35 euros may be a lot for student backpackers, but if you have the budget for it then I highly recommend this tour.

Wonderful experience with great food, nice people, and a warm, authentic vibe. I cannot recommend this highly enough!
We had our meal cooked by chefs Raluca and Stefan, in Stefan's apartment which, although it's in a communist apartment block has a very cool, bohemian aesthetic. The food, made with fresh ingredients from local markets was not just delicious, but also a nice starting point for conversations about travel and the enjoyment of life in general. If you want to meet interesting, open-minded people in addition to having a nice meal in a more intimate stetting than most tourist attractions allow, this is a perfect experience for you.
