Stayed here one night, a local travel agent reserved it for me after other well known hotels were booked. It is in a famous building where authors and poets gathered in the 1930s. Check in was easy, the interior architecture is very nice. My room was adequate, large double room, nicely decorated, but I was bothered by the rusty, brownish water from the shower, cleared up after a minute. The bed was large and ok, mattress not the newest. Air Conditioner worked at first, but later fave out. I didn't call the front desk to report this. On the plus side, I got a live person for my wake up call. Check out was a little troubling, as I had trouble with my credit cards. Romanian merchants often ask for a PIN, with Romanian Credit cards, the only PIN I had was my ATM cash withdrawal PIN, and that didn't work. Not their fault. I would be willing to give this place another try if I knew I would get a good mattress.

Hi, the hotel is ok, but not what I would expect from a 5 start hotel. I got the feeling the hotel would need some renovation. I liked the funiture and decoration, that's actually the best part of the hotel, but it smelled old and mouldy and missed some modern facilities. The room was pretty small, though the bed was very comfortable. The staff was helpful, but I did not get the feeling of a 5 star hotel, more 3. If one gets a half price offer then it's ok, but there are generally better hotels that have similar offers at the same time but if I paid the full price I would think it's a rip-off.

The architecture is amazing, the location puts you right in the middle of a lively scene. The rooms need a great deal of work and the staff was downright rude and not at all helpful. Take a look, because you'll enjoy that, but don't stay.

Room Tip: Not sure there really is one.

This old hotel in the city center has a great location, but I does feel like you are going back 30-40 years. The hotel is ok, but value for money really depends on which offer you get. Breakfast buffet is quite limited and restaurant quite old fashioned with small menu.
The lobby is quite small and really no place for a coffee or bear, except a few chairs and tables.
However, with the perfect location, you have a multitude of cafe's, restaurants and bars just around the corner.

Room Tip: Rooms away from Calea Victoriei are the most quiet.

Situated in the center of Bucharest and having one of the oldest restaurants in town, Capsa is a landmark of Bucharest. The old architecture of the building is not overwhelming but rather cozy. The feeling of the hotel is very friendly and welcoming. The rooms are nice and clean. The employees are very helpful. The location is great and you are at walking distance of old town with its large choice of bars and restaurant. The university is just there, museum of history, metro station etc. I paid 100 euros a night, breakfast included , but you can get a cheaper price if you organize yourself. I arrived very early and left late in the night, but I did not paid extra. I had a good stay in this place and I will be back on my next trips to Bucharest.

I loved this hotel! The location was great, and the way the hotel looks it just makes you feel like a princess. This place is full of history as i heard many kings and queens have stayed here. The food at the restaurant was great but the room service was poor. i also liked the pastry shop at the entrance.

Fantastic rooms - gives you a little glimpse of what Bucharest might have been like a hundred years ago. Good service, but the food from room-service is better avoided. Doesn't have all the conveniences of the modern business hotels, but makes up for that in atmosphere.
