A great little hotel just a 5 minute walk from Universitade Piata. Clean, modern and well presented rooms. Lovely helpful staff and a great buffet breakfast and bacon & cheese omelettes.
You couldn't get more central with all the attractions within walking distance, as is the metro with a very helpful tourist information office and interactive maps in the foyer.
Taxis ordered by the hotel to Otopeni Airport were 30 RON.
Overall a great value for money option.

We only stayed here for one night but it did exactly what it said on the tin. A taxi ride from the train station, speedy check in and staff who are happy to help with any query.
Dont let the immediate area put you off....a 2 minute walk and you are in the busy hearland of the City. A 15 minute walk and you are in the traditional city centre with its cafes, bars and the presidential palace.
Beds quite hard and air conditioner didnt seem to work but all in all a good place to stay, good value, all you could want in a hotel.

The Tempo hotel is a modern hotel to the north of Bucharest city centre; very clean with helpful multi-lingual staff on reception and in the breakfast area. Rooms were fine except there were no bedside lamps (irritating to have to get out of bed to turn off the lights) and walls and double-glazing that did not exclude all sounds from adjacent rooms or the road outside (and we were on the fifth floor). The bathroom had a good bath/shower, was spacious and immaculately cleaned. The main problem is the location, with few restaurants within walking distance - however, we used cheap taxis to get around. Small quibbles as the hotel was excellent value for money, but try to obtain a room on floor 4 upwards and/or at the back.

We came here having started out at the Butterfly Villa Hostel (which nearly killed us due to lack of air conditioning). The lady on reception was charming and helpful (even when we managed to get confused about how to use the safe...)

The air conditioning worked brilliantly (which at the time was a huge priority) - but the bathroom was also lovely (and really nice shampoo!), comfy bed, good wifi internet.

The breakfast was also good. They made eggs however you wanted them, to order plus there was the usual continental buffet arrangement.

Good value too - I think it was 40 euros for the night...

Great hotel. Minutes walk to city center, great rooms and best bathrooms I have seen. Staff was exceptionally helpful, lovely Alexandra was great and wonderful. Would definitely stay here again for my next visit to Bucharest.
