“Awful”
Reviewed October 22, 2012

I work in the Unirii Square region, and i can say that it is always crowded, it smells horrible, there are a lot of beggars, gipsies, pick-pockets, fake parking assistants, rip-off taxis who charge you 3.5 lei/km. Don't take them, the standard fee is 1.39 lei/km.
Besides the fountains (which are filthy if you see them up close), there is nothing to see here.
ps. Don't give money to anybody that approaches you on the street.

“Center of Bucharest”
Reviewed October 16, 2012

Bulevardul Unirii (Unification Boulevard) is a major thoroughfare in central Bucharest, Romania. It connects Alba Iulia Square with Constitution Square, and also runs through Unification Square. The Constitution Square end features the Palace of the Parliament.

“for photographers and shopping maniacs”
Reviewed September 7, 2012

Bucharest has a line of four major squares: Unirii, Universitatii, Romana and Victoriei. Unirii is in the south-central part of Bucharest, offering a perfect view on the Unirii Bulevard (a sort of replica of Champs Elysees) and Palatul Parlamentului (the second largest administrative building in the world). be there at sunset, bring your tripod and take some great shots of the boulevard or the lights of the city as reflected by Dambovita river. if you are into shopping, Unirii Shopping Center should do the trick for you :)

“Nice place but can be better”
Reviewed August 9, 2012

Unirii place is the heart of the city. Abroad this has great importance for the town but seems not same in Bucharest.
The place is beautiful but there are a lot of gipsy selling cheep clothes, sun glasses..anything. With another image the Unirii Square can receive 5 stars.
