You can't really see or visit much, since there are no museums or historical buildings for visiting. There are some ruins of the Old Court, but nothing really impressive, honestly. The Old Town is nice for walking and admiring the architecture of the buildings, something that reminds somehow of the old French cities. However, the place is fantastic for drinking and having fun, since most of the best cafes, bars and restaurants of the city are here. Prices are incredible small, so make sure you party here! We have visited the bars in the Old Town in a Pub Crawl tour organized by a local company called PartyON and we really had some wonderful nights. You can obviously go there on your own, but make sure to make appoinments before.

this is great for a stroll around and view the area, from draculas statue to churches and the fabulous interior of caru cu bere, however every bar of bucharest and many restaurants are in this area so you have no choice to go here in the evenings, which in turn generates 2 problems, higher prices and some bars far too busy.

caru cu bere do a cheap lunch deal which is available til 6pm so excellent if you go for an early dinner at 5pm and the interior of the building is amazing and it is always packed..

We enjoyed exploring the many streets. We found a beautiful monastery, many small shops, a few restaurants. Also, good for people watching.

Compared with Brasov, Sighasoara and Sibiu, Bucharest has a very poor old town. It is mostly overpriced bars and restaurants. Even the museum was shut for renovation when I was there. Give it a miss.
