Old Town/Lipscani area is lovely for a stroll..nothing overly impressing, but it has its own charm.I enjoyed taking photos of the old buildings and doors..balconies..windows.Nice for a drink..coffee or meal.

Compared with Brasov, Sighasoara and Sibiu, Bucharest has a very poor old town. It is mostly overpriced bars and restaurants. Even the museum was shut for renovation when I was there. Give it a miss.

Wide variety of excellent places to eat anddrink. Atmospheric.....Just watch the taxi drivers! Most of them are still crooks!

This is a very nice part of the city. Old like big buildings, a lot of restaurants of different nations (Romanian, Indian, Chinese, Egyptian), there are also a huge number of wineries and pubs, where you can have a good time. Also there you can find a philately shop.
The only thing I disliked, was the night lighting. In my opinion it was quite dark. Although the bars and other shops had a lot of light in front of their doors, the overall lighting of the streets was quite gloomy and there was very little light in the windows of the city.
