“Under renovation, Small, not worth the time”
Reviewed May 6, 2014 via mobile

This is a small copy of the original. Don't waste your time traveling to see this, partly because it's anticlimactic and mostly because it's under renovation.
Such a disappointment because so many landmarks are being renovated and there is no warning until you arrive.
Skip this and plan a tour of another landmark.

“Doesn't deserve a detour”
Reviewed April 28, 2014

Smaller and not as nicely decorated as the one in Paris, it is not accessible to visit either. You will see it if you go visit the Village Museum because it is situated between the museum and the metro station (Aviatorilor).

“Like many places it's being renovated”
Reviewed April 28, 2014

Lots of scaffolding around the entire base of the arch. It is a great monument, but not so nice to look at. I don't understand the many funny remarks like "fake copy", or "regular arch"... It is a building, not a "pleasure creating machinery", so if you like buildings, look at it, if you want to see something totally unique, look around in town, there are many places unique to the town.

“just a fake copy”
Reviewed April 18, 2014

A local guide tried to explain to me why they needed this and it seems it was just a period they wanted to copy everything from Paris. There is NO added benefit for the city nor is it any relevant for tourists. I walked by while on my way to the VIllage museum (very nice)... Make sure you don't make a detour or a special trip to see it.

“A regular arch.”
Reviewed March 27, 2014

There's nothing unique about this arch other than the fact it's a triumph arch.
You will probably see it when the taxi passes next to it on your way from the airport to the city.
The arch is not too impressive nor is it accessible to the public anymore and this is why there's no need to actually visit it, per se.
