My review would not be different from the others I see here. It is in a great location and one can get to many places to eat and drink easily. Money exchange is near by.

The hotel itself is cozy and the staff goes out its way to help. For example my colleague and I had to spend a better portion of the day working in our rooms. There was disturbing music from a place a few doors down that had speakers out in the street. The receptionist walked over and asked if the music could be turned down and bingo it was. So it is not only a great place to hang one's hat at night but also to work if needed. To note wifi worked well on all floors and there were also internet cable hook ups ups in each room. BTW, the smell of the cooking of waffles and baking of cookies at times in the day got up to the 5th floor and, well, was nice!

For those of you are considering staying in the old town area, it is just not the same. Gone are the torn up streets, empty buildings, and some (but not all) of the mom and pop places. Instead there are traditional and trendy bars and restaurants and probably 60 Irish pubs (okay maybe not 60 but a lot). Some of us think the area is going down hill :) but we would not stay anywhere where else :).

Room Tip: In terms of rooms they are large (only 16 total) and I think all the same in terms of layout. Some have twin beds and others double. So depending on your needs you should ask.

I had the pleasure to stay two nights in Rembrandt hotel.
There is something special about this place - to be in the heart of a very busy, noisy and dynamic old city center and to have in the same time peace in a warm, comfortable, spacious and cozy room.
The service is impeccable, the room with it's wooden & leather furniture gives classy even luxury feeling but the smell of fresh waffles in the morning made my day!
I stayed alone, in the evening I noticed that the stuff was entirely female and yet it gave me sense of security and comfort.
Bonus: GrandCafe Van Gogh is just next door!
If you visit Bucharest in the warm seasons, don't miss a brunch in the Cafe's terrace or a cold beer in the evening!

The Rembrandt was our best choice of hotels in the center of Bucharest. First I would like to thank the kind and sympathetic staff, and second talk of the great location in the center of Bucharest, where there are hundreds of restaurants and bars within 200 meters.
The Rembrandt Hotel is simple but comfortable, with air boutique hotel.
I suggest to all the travelers who are staying at the Bucharest to Rembrandt or simply have a coffee.

Great location in the busy, vibrant Old Town.

Staff go out of their way to help, provided a take away breakfast for us on an early check out.

One very comfortable night here. Great rooms, stylishly furnished - one with an amazing view across the city.

I would definitely recommend.

We stayed at the Rembrandt in November 2012. We took the 783 bus from the airport to unification square (8.6 RON for 2 people, 40 minutes) and walked 5 minutes to the hotel. The Hotel is located in the bustling old town. We had booked a business room (room 11) and it was large and had a great view of the street from the first floor. Breakfast was great. The staff spoke great English and were super helpful. It was possible to book a tour with the hotel. Toni took us to see Bran Castle for a day and he did a great job. The castles that he showed us were spectacular. Plus they organised us a taxi back to the airport at 4 am in the morning and Melina made us an espresso and got us some croissants for breakfast. The hotel also stocks some souvenirs from Romania. The airport is 20 km and 30 minutes drive away.

Room Tip: Business room was larger.
