“The icon of Romanian music”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 1, 2013

This place was built by public donations and it remains a landmark, both in architecture and music. It is located next to the Hilton and is surrounded by lots of restaurants and cafes.
No visit here is complete without visiting the interior!

“A landmark”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 31, 2013

It's history, architecture and music in one place.

Beautiful on the outside with the nice garden in front guarded by Mihai Eminescu's (famous poet) sculpture and on the inside with the impressive columns and the music hall surrounded by the mural describing the history of Romania.

Definitely a must see!

“An architectural masterpiece both outside and inside.”

Gorgeous building, perfect acoustic concerts. The location organizes classical music concerts. Worth visiting for the beauty of the building.

“Romanian Athenaeum”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 29, 2013

The building is in the center of Bucharest and it is one of the town icons. For us, for Bucharest natives the Athenaeum is a page of the glorious history of the town, from those times when it was Little Paris.

“Culture and history”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 29, 2013

Marvelous arhitecture of the nineteen century, good classical music inside. Being Romanian I would say that this is a "monument" for our best musician GEORGE ENESCU.
