The main building is spectacular and worth seeing but is only occupied in a small area by the museum itself. The rest is rented out to businesses who are hostile to the museum and consequently are not courteous to the visitors. This is a city that is already not tourist friendly. The staff of the other businesses sit on the balconies of this Palatial structure smoking so any pictures you want to take include them. At the back is a small but elegant house containing items belonging to the former occupant. Staff don'r speak English except for one woman who was helpful and some of the other staff are cold and surly.

This is a building used by the Composers' Union of Romania. It is not much of a museum and because of the interior tapestry it feels super-cramped. However, if you do see in the local magazines advertisments for concerts it's a good idea to go. They are usually given by young artists who will appreciate your presence and are very cheap or free.

For those who have heard about the Romanian composer George Enescu, it worth to visit this palace, and also the small house in the back of courtyard. I was impressed about the interior of this palace; sometimes small concerts are played in the small concert room inside.

I visited George Enescu Museum a few times and I will go again because it's impressive to see all of his belongings and many of his creations. Behind the museum there is a memorial house where you can visit his room, the music room and Maruca Cantacuzino' room (3 times the size of George Enescu's room :) )
