If you visit Bucharest it is a must. You have to included in your sight view, for it is the most important church of Romania, seat of the Patriarch. You have around also the Palace of the Patriarchy, which you can not visit! The whole complex is beautiful and small! It actually is a monastery so there is a service every day. During the ceremony, in the morning, you can here the beautiful singing of the monks. Go and listen! They will remind you that there is a God!

Mildly interesting group of buildings of the Christian Orthodox faith, quite impressive architecturally. The church is in current use and services were underway when we visited. I liked the 'chanting' (prayers?) broadcast throughout the whole area, it gave the visit a more ethereal feeling. Lots of gold and icons inside and a candle lighting house off to one side. By the entrance there's a statue of the church's founder and another of Alexandru Ioah Cuza. Can't say I'd go out of my way to visit unless you're very religious or stuck for something to do.
