A very representative sampling of homes and other buildings all gathered in one location. Very easy to walk through. Pleasant rest spot at the small cafe. Got to visit in both Jan 2013 and May 2013. Not too many visitors in the winter but with little snow it was still a good few hours just walking around.

What an unusual and attractive place to visit! A selection of actual dwellings from across Rumania during that era; they were physically moved to this lovely parklike setting, not torn down and rebuilt. Good descriptions in English contributed a lot to appreciating all these thatched-roof houses of varied shapes, sizes, and layouts.

The Village Museum is an unique place within Bucharest. You can see genuine traditional Romanian houses from various periods and get immersed in the Romanian traditions and folklore. All in all, a nice walk with a little a bit of history attached to it.

The result of painstaking preservation of peasant life in Romania, that shows past as well and present crafts and traditions. Interesting for children, as well as adults.
