Reviewed March 5, 2014

All the houses were closed off so you could not see anything, Not the easiest place to find and only 1 restaurant on site which service was very poor

“The March "yard sale"”
Reviewed March 4, 2014

It was crowded, full of creativity and lots of fun! I bought some great gifts to give my loved ones, at the arrival of spring. The entry ticket was 1 euro, so it was cheap :) It was really nice to see how talented people are :)

“If you like old buildings...”
Reviewed March 2, 2014

...then the Village Museum is a must-see. Established in the 1930s, it has a huge outdoor collection of wooden farm buildings and churces from all over Romania.

“Don't Miss This”
Reviewed February 24, 2014

This museum won the European Museum of the Year Award several times, and rightly so as it is really excellent. Romania's village culture was extraordinarily rich and it survived Communism rather well. The current threat to it, from international investors, is far more grave.

This museum is a little piece of that great history and it consists mainly of old houses that have been rebuilt in the centre of Bucharest. It is located by a lake and a big park.

It also has an excellent shop with new products made by village artisans.

If you're visiting Bucharest this is one of the top destinations, along with the Village Museum which has a superb restaurant, lots of activities and is ten minutes walk down the road.

“Great to visit on a Monday when other museums shut”
Reviewed February 18, 2014

A very interesting museum. Fortunately the weather was hot and sunny (highly unseasonal for February). Monday was a great day to visit too as the locals were at work. Also most of the other museums are shut on Monday and this was one if the few still open
