A place that have to visited during summer. Lots of trees and green grass. Among them nice old little houses from all over the country, showing how people lived and what were there occupations.

I loved being able to see how villagers from different areas and geographical areas in Romania lived and worked. I am a teacher of English & History, and felt very enlightened . I was able to see first-hand and very interactively, the conditions under which many Europeans lived centuries ago. In addition, there were many different styles of houses and architecture which reflected the diversity of Romanian history. Romania is not a well-known country, and I feel that if you are visiting Bucharest for a very short stay, like I was, it is essential to visit this museum as well as the peasant museum. The surrounding park is splendid, and the people are very helpful in showing an English-speaking stranger directions.

We visited on Dec 23 and could not go inside any buildings. This made the visit less enjoyable for us. All in all it is an interesting place.

We visited New Year's Eve and were fortunate as most museums were shut. We didn't get to see inside any of the houses but the write up and picture outside was adequate. It was lovely just to walk around the large site and absorb the variety.
