We stayed two nights in this hotel and could have stayed longer. It is located almost next to the Parliament Palace and on entering the lobby the hotel opened up to display a foyer almost as grand as in the Palace. It was massive and exquisite. We travelled with a group so check in was busy, but the staff was very efficient and courteous and fluent in English and we were able to move to our allotted rooms with a minimum of fuss. The room was also very large and supplied with every amenity. The bathroom was the best we have encountered. Unfortunately, there was no free access to internet because we did not have a mobile phone which could operate in Romania. Breakfast was a moving feast. There was just every type of breakfast fare to suit any desire. It was just brilliant.

Would we stay there again, absolutely.

Room Tip: Any room along the front would probably be the best, but any room of this standard would be great.

The hotel lobby and restaurants are palatial. I find it hard to think of anyplace I have stayed which is comparable. Thoughout the hotel the staff seemed fluent in English. Cordial, gracious, accomodating well trained people. Our room was exquisite and quite large. Location may appear a bit south of main attractrions, but the Opera was short walk from hotel, and bus in front goes to old town directly every few minutes. I wish I could have planned my visit so that I could have stayed here several weeks.

Room Tip: Worth requested a room with view of Parliament complex.

We stayed at the JW Marriott Grand Hotel in Bucharest, Romania. It was a fantastic hotel. The room and bathroom were grand. It also had more than one restaurant to choose from, if you didn't want to go out. It is a little far from the city center but walkable. Smoking is allowed in Bucharest and is quite prevalent . So in the restaurants in the Marriott they at least had non smoking areas. We would recommend this hotel. We had no trouble exchanging money, there was a bank and more than one ATM machine.

Excellent hotel in a fascinating city! This hotel is an oasis. The service was excellent and the breakfast was unbelievable. Rooms were clean and spacious where water was provided every day. We spent 3 nights here and the staff was always helpful. The only perk I would add is free money exchange services. We had to 'join' the casino to exchange money but the rate was good and the fee was only about $2.00. This was the best hotel on our 8 day trip around Romania.

Room Tip: Be sure to ask for no smoking as Romania is a smoking country!
