“One of the best museums of its kind”
Reviewed August 11, 2013

Antipa is one of the biggest museums of natural history in Europe. Extensive collections, very well preserved overall, it is a joy to visit and re-visit. A must see in Bucharest.

“My Overseas guests were full of praise”
Reviewed August 7, 2013

This Museum is undoubtedly the ONLY one in Romania which can claim WORLD CLASS STATUS - it has been modernised in recent years, bringing it to same level as other Major Natural History Museums in the World...I definitely bring ALL my visitors there, small & big - they all rave about it and leave it with pleasant memories about their visit..

“An OK Natural History Museum”
Reviewed August 5, 2013

This museum's permanent exhibits are just OK. Might be good for a rainy day or for something to do with the kids. I would not put it on the list of "must see" things in Bucharest. The periodic special exhibits, however, can be worth a look.

“Nice museum, after they reopened”
Reviewed August 3, 2013

After a serious investment, this was reopened at last year. It looks more modern now and is usually very crowded. Compared to other museums, the entry fee is higher. On weekends it's swarming with kids, so try to visit during the week.

There are all sort of temporary exhibitions year round. Some say the exhibits are too old (some almost 70 years old) , but thank God it is so, cause otherwise they would have killed more unique mammals.

The variety of the species presented is huge, and too many of them marked as extinct nowadays. So if you're interested in biology or such museums exhibiting dead stuff, I guess it's a quite good one.

The shop is pretty poor. There are some lockers available.

“One of the best in the region”
Reviewed August 1, 2013

This museum was recently refurbished and redesigned, and is now housing an impressive collection that reminds us the beauties of biology. Not to miss if you are interested in natural sciences.
