Fully refurbished in 2011, impressive collection of species, great place to go with the kids for both fun and learning. A must see...

I think modernization of this musem was a great idea. It is now strung out with other Western European Museum. It has a great terase too.

Although a thorough renovation has taken place, the old habits of the museum curators are all around you.

Interaction is limited to some touchscreens which show non-dynamic information about the dioramas.

The toilets are horrible

All in all, it's worth visiting, but don't set your expectations to high.

The tickets are fairly expensive.

Some great displays and lots to learn. I liked the two theories of evolution - Darwinism vs God ! Interesting. Also, the glass cases containing Africans and Aboriginals seemed a bit misguided or plain racist.
