Description: An oasis of peace and green in the middle of the city, with friendly waiters and a good vibe. Romanian wines by the glass, natural home made drinks and vegetarian/vegan friendly food. Great for long lazy afternoons or laid-back evenings out on the terrace with friends, while for brunch it makes a brilliant (and bargain) alternative to the big, expensive hotels. A must see for the first visit to Bucharest.

I would definitively go back. Plenty of good books, pleasant spending of time, smaller prices comparing to other libraries.

Great place but expensive

Cool building, carefully chosen items on sale, nice place to have a cup of tea, but everything else that's on sale there is expensive (books, presents, magasines, trinkets and whatnot).

Shop around the corner feeling

The place to go if you love books. Always found very enjoyable the atmosphere there. Also good for drinking a coup of tea, shopping for a present and looking at artsy stuff.

Best bookstore in Bucharest

Large bookstore in the center of town, between Piata Romana and Universitate. Many floors of books and other stuff. It's the largest collection of books in English that I've found in Romania. In the good weather the cafe out back is very nice.
