Having previously attended a walking tour in Brasov only days earlier, my partner and I were very enthusiastic to partake on the walking tour of Bucharest with the same company.

Seeing Bucharest through the eyes of an experienced tour guide and resident with their own personal stories to tell was fantastic. Mihai, our tour guide, let us enter into the real atmosphere and the rich history of Bucharest in an enthusiastic and authentic manner. His humour made the tour even more enjoyable and made him more approachable to ask questions and along with his vast knowledge of Bucharest's interesting history and development he could easily answers any questions people had.

The tour lasted 2.5 hours and even though the weather was terrible throughout, Mihai remained enthusiastic and engaging, always finding an alternative space for us to see the landmarks which included shelter from the rain.

I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Bucharest as it gives you an experience of what this unique city has to offer.

It was a very nice tour, even if it was raining.
Our guide Mihai could answer all questions and explained everything in a fun, relax and simple way.

“Best tour for a start in Bucharest”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 2, 2014

We went on this tour the first day when we arrived in Bucharest. Our tour guide was Rizwan, a passionate young guy who apparently enjoyed showing and telling us about his city. His English was excellent, with his loud voice we could follow his explanations very well, despite of the large group we were in. We saw many of the buildings that are considered attractions and learned about their meaning and their history. To me it was a perfect start of the visit to Bucharest. With a few people from different countries that we met at the tour we enjoyed a beautiful day in a city that could not have given us a warmer welcome. Highly recommended!
PS. Don't forget to tip the guide, although it is a free walking tour, for Romanians Bucharest is an expensive city and the guide also needs money to pay the bills.

“Excellent tour”

We took the walking tour with Stefan on a Saturday morning. It was very interesting and enlightening. Stefan was funny and took us to all historical places in the old city. We walked from the old city to revolution square. He showed old pictures and told stories about the city and the 2 hours flew by. The tour meets at the clock in Uniri square and the guides usually wear an orange t shirt.

“best experience in Bucharest”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 1, 2014

Thank for a great feeling of Bucharest, indeed. In spite of rainy weather the guided tour with Carmen had everything what you expect from guided tour. We have seen interesting places, heard a lot from history of Bucharest in an enjoyable way as well as a many stories about people and life in Romania. I would also like to point out timing, that was just right as well as choice of stops and places what to see. Carmen was very friendly and knowledgable guide. She answered a lot of our questions and finally I heard explanation of story of Dracula! So thank you and have fun!
