Owner description: Mojo is the original Karaoke bar of Bucharest. The first to have karaoke seven nights a week and continues to provide quality drinks, great service from English speaking staff and a cracking atmosphere. If Sports are your thing, we guarantee that we can show more games, events and tournaments than any other bar in the city. Skysports, BBC/ITV, and all Romanian channels means we can show 6 different sports games simultaneously. Come check us out.

Been here with business mates on one friday night. Nice athmosphere, smoke, loud and very nice live music, not too classy but it does the job.
Would go again.

“Best live music club”
Reviewed April 8, 2013 via mobile

My mates and I just had two days in Bucharest and found this little gem of a nightclub to be the best of the bunch.
There's live music Camden style basement, a relaxed friendly chillout lounge on the ground floor and then on the floor a further stage where the dancing in karaoke takes place.
Fantastic atmosphere, a bot of variety with the different bars. I would thoroughly recommend this to anybody looking for a good night out in Bucharest.

“Great name, great place - best in Old Town”
Reviewed March 20, 2013

My friends and I have been going to this club for over three years and now - because I have finally set up a TripAdvisor account - have decided it's about time I give it a well deserved (and also informative) review.

Mojo is quite a large club (probably one of the biggest in the Old Town area, if not the biggest) that is spread on 3 levels:
1. top floor - karaoke every day of the week, hosts around 100 people, always full
2. middle floor - pub area that regularly has football games on (generally Premier League, but also other leagues)
3. underground - club area with a capacity of 400-500 people that is literally packed Fridays and Saturdays with a very good live band (The Mojo Band). There are other bands that play there during the week, but, of course, they don't gather as many people as weekends. Fridays and Saturdays there is an entry fee of 10 lei (2 euros).

Every month, the club hosts a very popular Quiz Night that gathers over 40 teams every time. The quiz is for charity and the entry fee (2 euros) is all donated. As part of the quiz there are also: a raffle with prizes, a snowball question (last time a customer won 350 euros) and prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners - all provided by the club and other sponsors.
Another monthly event that Mojo hosts is the British Standup Comedy Night. 3 different comedians are flown from London to Bucharest for a 2 1/2 hour show for a more than decent entry fee of 50 lei (11 euros).

-cheap drinks (it's not the cheapest place in Lipscani, but it's way cheaper than most; long drinks 2,5 euros, cocktails 4 euros, draft beer less than 2 euros, a bottle of vodka + 4 mixers 35 euros)
-best karaoke place
-good music
-friendly and well trained staff
-good mix of people (all ages and nationalities)
-many flat TV screens that make the karaoke and football games more enjoyable than other places
-really good cocktails (particularly one that's named "Mojo Iced Tea" :) - my favourite)
-quiz nights, comedy nights, other bands and events
-bouncers are alright (sometimes they can seem a bit harsh, but I guess they're just doing their jobs trying to keep the place safe - I guess that's why I've never seen any fights)
-restrooms aren't the best (the ladies' restroom only has 4 cubicles, but I've never had to queue for more than 3-4 minutes, so it's not that big of an issue)

All in all, Mojo is an awesome club and if u've never been to it, give it a try. You'll most likely return :)

“Nice atmosphere, worrying security situation...”
Reviewed March 3, 2013

Nice club, nice atmosphere. The DJ played a good mix of rock/alternative and pop music, and a good live band covered different rock/alternative cover songs. What I enjoyed most about this club was the volume of the music: Loud enough, to enjoy dancing, but you were still able to have conversations.
However, I have to say I was about worried about the security situation: There are only spiral stairs leading to the basement which was quite croweded at some point. I couldn't find any "emergncy exit" signs. In case of an emergency - well... Better not think about it.

“Fun nights with good music and nice people”
Reviewed January 14, 2013

Mojo is a great place for live music, they have it every weekend, and on weeknights there are all sorts of new and old bands and artists playing. There are even quizez and stand up. There's karaoke upstairs every day of the week, and they have pretty much every song yopu could wish for, great atmosphere! The staff are really nice, too. Friendly, and they can sure make some good drinks, very professional. Decent prices. Always a great night out when it's in Mojo.
