“Central city location with good views for breakfast”
Reviewed September 7, 2013

I stayed here August 2013. Two different rooms - 8th floor was best as had balcony and good view. Breakfast is served on 9th floor with picture windows. Rooms are decorated in a slight 'bordello' colour scheme - purple, black and pink. This was a surprise as I thought it was a business hotel. In fact, when I stayed, it was mainly tourists. Breakfast was basic and, on one occasion, understaffed. I ordered scrambled eggs and cappuccino. I got omelette and white coffee! Others had similar problems. Front desk showed local sights although I went on a free walking tour for two and a half hours which someone on our tour had spotted in advance. The hotel is tucked up a side street but is within very short walking distance of old town (lots of bars and restaurants and not a lot else). Great hotel for central base with clean large rooms.

Room Tip: Ask for room up high with good view.

We stayed one night, 30th July 2013. The room was ready and staff helpful. Luggage stand was broken and one side of the bed was saggy! (not mine lol). We didn't eat there but the Silk Sky Bar is amazing - panoramic views over the University and northern suburbs of Bucharest. My only complaint was that the bar was used for a function at 9pm and we were told to leave as " all the tables were reserved". This is the first time I have heard of hotel guests being told to leave the hotel's own bar as there would be no seats!!
Otherwise, it was very clean, modern and excellent value for money. DIdn't have the breakfast but it the reviews on another "booking" website were not very flattering.

Room Tip: pick a lower floor as lift gets very congested. Also, book well in advance as it was full and one gu...

Stayed here a couple of times and it has everything for everyone. Central located with a lot of bus/metro stations, however is so close to boutiques, shops and main attractions. Wonderful breakfast with excellent views! The room is perfectly clean and decorated. All the staff are nice and smiling all the time. My favorite Bucharest Hotel so far!

We visited the hotel for two separate nights only through our trip to and back from Ukraine. The hotel is situated in the very middle of the city, and it is hard to find. We circled for one hour with the car and then gave up and called the hotel. One of the receptionists found us and showed us the way, we actually were very close but we would have never found it without him, since the hotel is situated in a small street, where it is prohibited to turn by car (unless you are going to that hotel).
We suggested to the hotel to install bigger signs at the beginning of the road, but not sure if they listened or can do it.
The hotel itself is very clean inside. There are three rooms on each floor and the building itself is quite tall. They have a restaurant on the ninth floor with a nice view in the morning when you take your breakfast. Our room overlooked the inside of the court, so no nice view, but we arrived in the late evening and left in the morning, so it was not important for us. Otherwise they have city-view rooms for few euros more. Our room was small but clean and nice, with a wardrobe installed like a separate small room and a safe inside. Nice bathroom with a shower and very comfortable beds. The breakfast was good, not a lot of choice like in big chain hotels, but nice and healthy and they make eggs for you including different kind of omelets etc. that are delicious. Good service and nice atmosphere.

Room Tip: Some rooms overlook the inside of the court, some overlook the city but are more expensive.

For a business trip I've stayed three nights in this rather small but GREAT hotel. It's situated in the heart of Bucharest's Lipscani old town. Plenty of good restaurants and bars on walking distance. The rooms are large and very well equipped with modern furniture. Great beds! The breakfast buffet at the 9th floor overlooking the city center is also of very good quality. The friendly and helpfull staff at the reception deserves a compliment. Specially Marius (who speaks perfectly English) was extremely helpfull. Thank you Marius!
This hotel is a sure go!

Thank you a lot!
we stayed there for one night on last week during our trip by car from Moscow to Athens.
If you arriving at night there can be problems with parking bcs it's free, so reserve it before - we had parking just in 1 meter in front main door.
We had check-in at 1am, i guess, but still all staff was extremely friendly.
Also they packed for us breakfast because we checked-out early , comfortable rooms with not big bathroom.
AC and everything works good, wi-fi was not good but we didn't mind.
Please looked through map, its a bit hard to find, look for big Z.

Room Tip: 801 - good room faced to parking and city

We stayed here twice. The first time was perfect. The rooms are large and pretty - our room had a small extra room where you could put your suit case so it was out of the way. The breakfast was really good with a wide selection of foods available - fish, meat, cheese, cereal, yoghurt, fruit - freshly cooked eggs and different rolls and breads.

The second time we stayed it was not quite so perfect because the shower leaked and so water flooded the bathroom - but this is not typical - it could happen anywhere - it was just bad luck that day.
