“A very informative visit...”
Reviewed March 3, 2013 via mobile

My girlfriend and I went on a very cold afternoon midweek and found a very well kept and organised museum. There is plenty to see. Not all of the labels of the artefacts are in English however on the whole the afternoon was very informative. Give yourself about 3 hours to see everything as we did not have time to see the whole aviation section as the museum was closing. If you run into a big German Shepard outside its ok he lives on the site his name is Max and he is very friendly!!!

“Interesting experience”
Reviewed January 20, 2013

The museum has a lot of historical documents, uniforms and weapons exhibit inside and quite a few pieces of war machines displayed in the back yard. There is even a very interesting gun train displayed along with some other small or big guns from all times. From time to time the Museum is organizing special events or special collection displays.

“Military Uniforms and equipment”
Reviewed November 21, 2012

I visited the museum twice; once it was during the museums night so I didn't pay.

The museum has many uniforms since the beginning of the Romanian army and also a lot of military equipment. The really interesting part is in the back of the building where you can see military tanks and other similar stuff...

“Much more than you might expect”
Reviewed October 19, 2012

A well-presented and thorough run through the history of what is now Romania since prehistoric times. Don't be put off by thinking it might be rows of dull swords and medals, it offers much more than many other military history museums.

There is also an extensive outdoor display of military equipment, and a hanger full of aircraft out the back. The museum needs at least a couple of hours, and much longer for people with any kind of serious interest - it shut before I could even find the naval section.

The only downside is that they want to charge an extortionate amount for photography, so I didn't bother - a few RON would have been okay, but 50 was silly.
