The hostel's directions on their www is a bit fuzzy getting off the 783 bus from the airport. It should be more specific like walk 50 steps towards the McDonalds when bus stops; turn right on the very first small street from the main boulevard. The rest is spot on about passing the Tonka Bar and being across from the French Embassy though.

Bath is very small with no where to change besides inside three wet individual shower stalls. Just one sink for everybody and two co-ed toilets. Somebody was charging their IPod for the two days I was there. That either means it's a very safe place for your valuables and/or management isn't very observant. Great to have a full size real kitchen with small sink; four burner stove; and large ice box which is cleaned out daily. A small non stop market is around the corner to get beers for the typical party German crowds. WIFI is strong but sofa cushions sink.

Midland is two metro stops (University and Union) to Old Town. It's a couple in the other direction to Gard de Nord train station also. Lots of stray dogs in that area though at night when I walked it.

This hostel is a nice place to stay in Bucharest for a very reasonable price.
It is clean, comfortable and well located. It has all the facilities you might need: wifi, computers, free maps, lockers, a bathroom, a proper kitchen. There is a small balcony and a common room. It is right opposite the French Embassy and since we are French and were there around Bastille Day (14th July), we went to the fancy party that was organized there, it was really cool!

Very nice place to stay at. Clean rooms with comfortable beds - although it was quite hot in the room. Very nice breakfast - bread, cheese, jam, eggs - but every day the same, be prepared if you stay longer :) Kindly staff; nice, but a bit small bathrooms.
Also it is near the historic center and the Parliament - just go to Piazza romana metro station and it is two stops to Piazza uniri. Or you can walk for 20mins.

Room Tip: We stayed in 12bed dorm and it was really ok. I don't think there will be much difference in cho...

For the first time I felt such a hospitable atmosphere. The hostel is housed in an old building which they told me was a cultural monument. It's just opposite the French embassy and you have security on each corner. Rooms were clean and breakfast delicious. Staff were very friendly. Would love to go back!

Small, very friendly and helpful staff, great location, excellent breakfast. Bathroom is small and a bit cramped, but they're apparently hoping to improve that. Clean and comfortable; good beds and generously spaced.
