“Delicious potato soufflé”
Reviewed June 25, 2014

We liked this place accross the St. Catherine's Church! We ordered the grilled duck with a delicious potato soufflé. Only remark with this dish is that no vegatables were included (but this seems to happen a lot in Croatia).

The duck salad was delicious. I just missed a bit more duck.

Overall, we liked this place. There was a great atmosphere and the service was good, even though there were several big groups. The price was around 200 kuna, for two dishes and 2 glasses of wine and a bottle of water.

“A little mixed...”
Reviewed June 16, 2014

I think we were just unlucky that there was a wedding inside and two big groups outside. All three times we needed a waiter we needed to go to the bar an approach them. And they sure didn't smile a lot..

The food was pretty good! We had duck salad and cheese for starter. Both really good! I had pork belly with roasted potatoes and my partner had veal scallop which was not very good. But my portion was so big we just ate that.

We were never asked about dessert and coffee, and once again went to the bar and they said the kitchen was closed. Just not very good service..

“Caters to tourists, rude service”
Reviewed June 11, 2014

Our hotel recommended this place, saying patrons seemed to like it. There were 2 huge tour groups there, which should've been our sign to leave. It was also more expensive than other restaurants in the area. We asked for tap water, and the waiter brought a bottle. He insisted the Zagreb water is tainted and undrinkable. Well, every other restaurant gave out tap water and it was fine! Then they were out of the cheese we ordered. Then the menu stated baked potatoes came with entree but we got french fries. The waiter couldn't have cared less. When we complained to the hostess she agreed the waiter is rude and they get a lot of complaints about him. Awful experience!

“Delicious way to start our trip”
Reviewed May 6, 2014

This restaurant is frequented by locals as well as tourists, which is always a good sign. We started with a cheese strudel, which is similar to a "blintz" and was quite delicious. We had duck (cooked on a spit), which was quite tasty, although the skin could have been crispier, and veal "under the bell", which is a very typical Croatian way of cooking meat. Very good.

“Nicht empfehlenswert/ Not worth mentioning!”
Reviewed April 10, 2014

Dear all,

As a Zagreb inhabitant and Croatia this restaurant has nothing to do neither with traditional nor regional cuisine, not to mention the international offer. Although a generous menu is offered, the meals do not have anything to do with the menu description. We were very disappointed.
